A Home Away From Home For Displaced Ukrainians

We All Wanted To Help

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, over 150,000 displaced persons have arrived in Canada.

The Canadian government enacted the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) with the purpose of providing a safe landing site for those fleeing the war.

However, there are many challenges faced by those arriving to the country, including housing, transportation, employment and cost of living as well as social isolation, anxiety, depression and other mental health struggles.

Ukranians fleeing war should be able to feel safe and supported.

A Part Of The Solution

Hillside Residence is a 12 room transitional housing facility. Our mission is to provide a comfortable and safe residential environment where occupants displaced due to war can form strong support networks within the community, and ultimately achieve long term self sufficiency.

We strive to promote a family-like atmosphere suitable for individuals, couples, and families.

Residents have access to private and semi-private accommodations, while sharing common kitchen, dining, living and office spaces. Residents work together to manage household routines.

Community has always been integral to our success, we appreciate your support.
